Greater Victoria Continuing / Alternative Education

Welcome to the S.J. Willis Art Gallery.

Many students have put their creativity to canvas or other mediums. This is a gallery of some of their work. We hope you enjoy viewing it as much as they did creating it!

Note from the Art Department

Art 11 &12 (studio based 2D art ), 4 credit course, along with FNA 11 (2 credit Fine Arts 11 credit) are all offered at S.J.Willis. The courses are designed to support students to meet all learning outcomes required for these graduation credits.

Students foucused on creating portfolios for different purposes: Some to showcase their art, some to support their applications for scholarships, or for entry into a comosun course.

Students participated in our "Full Circle" initiative, honouring the people who were incarcerated or even killed when the school was a jail, by weaving pine needle baskets and selling them. All Profits went to Reverend Al Tysick's shelter for the homeless.

Some of our adult class students have participated in a silent auction at the Belfry Theater. also one student was offered a contract with the Resource Centre to create the new catalogue.
