Studying law increases your ability to evaluate all of the legal information that surrounds you. This course will allow you to:

• contrast legal rights and reponsibilities of individuals, groups and organizations in Canadian society
• demonstrate an understanding of the Canadian court system
• describle the process involved in resolving disputes
• differentiate between civil and criminial law
• analyse the impact of the constitution and human rights legislation on society
