| Grades and Passport to Education | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Achievement is reported as a percentage and letter grade at the mid-point and end of each semester course. Final letter grades and percentages will be determined according to the following Ministry of Education letter grades:
Students enrolled in the Continuing Education Program may be eligible for Passport to Education, the Ministry of Advanced Educations’ financial assistance program. You can redeem your Passport to Education credits at a college, university, or a Ministry of Education approved job-training program in or outside of BC.
Determining who has credit is based on the number of students in the top 30% of their grade in our program. To receive Grade 11 credit, a student must: • Take at least five Grade 11 courses while enrolled in the Continuing Education Program • Post a C+ average in their top five Grade 11 courses • Achieve a satisfactory work habit standard in all courses • Have a satisfactory attendance record To receive Grade 12 credit, a student in the Secondary School Graduation Program or the Adult Credit Program must: • Take at least four grade 12 courses while enrolled in the Continuing Education Program • Post a C+ average overall in their top four Grade 12 courses • Achieve a satisfactory work habit standard in all courses • Have a satisfactory attendance record • Take at least five courses leading to graduation while enrolled in the program Note: Students who qualify for Passport to Education can complete an application form available from the Continuing Education office. |
